WWE Sends Cease and Desist Order to Independent Wrestling Promotors

Several independent wrestling promoters and wrestling convention promoters woke up this morning to WWE’s legal team sending them cease and desist orders, PWInsider is reporting.

WWE’s letter informed the promoters that they were utilizing WWE photos for advertising material on posters and/or online media promoting former WWE contracted talents on their respective events.

Considering how many promoters received cease and desists on the same day, it is obvious that WWE did it strategically. WWE is within their legal rights to do so since they own any professional shots taken by their photographers.
