Regal could not be there in person due to an undisclosed illness. He hasn’t been any shows since March. WWE acknowledged his absence from NXT television during the episode that aired after TakeOver: New Orleans, saying he was out sick.
– Although he did not appear on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Jason Jordan was backstage at the Nassau Coliseum. According to PWInsider, he will be returning to action soon.
Jordan has been out of action since January due to an issue with a nerve in his neck that required surgery. He underwent neck surgery on Feb. 6, which WWE Medical Director Dr. Joseph Maroon described as a “minimally invasive operation to decompress the nerve.”
WWE removed Jordan from wrestling in January, but still featured him on television in non-physical roles. This led to Jordan and Seth Rollins losing the Raw Tag Team Championship at the 2018 Royal Rumble in a match that saw Rollins handle all the physical action.
Jordan was written off Raw on Feb. 5 when Raw Commissioner Kurt Angle ordered Jordan to go home until he was medically cleared to compete.
