Who Will Challenge AJ Styles At WWE Extreme Rules?, The Authors of Pain Appear On Main Event, Elias

– WWE Champion AJ Styles defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing Match at WWE Money in the Bank on Sunday, putting an end to one of his most grueling rivalries. There won’t be any downtime for the WWE Champion, though, as he’ll have to be ready for his next challenger at WWE Extreme Rules. His opponent will be decided in a Gauntlet Match tonight on SmackDown LIVE.

WWE has announced that Daniel Bryan, Big E, Samoa Joe, The Miz and Rusev will take part in a Gauntlet Match to determine who will challenge Styles for the WWE Championship at WWE Extreme Rules.

WWE Extreme Rules takes place on Sunday, July 15 at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

– Before Raw went live on the air from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, The Authors of Pain — Akam and Rezar — worked a match that will air on this week’s episode of WWE Main Event on Hulu. The intimidating duo faced Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango).

With their appearance on WWE Main Event, The Authors of Pain worked their first television match in over a month. Click here for details on why Akam and Rezar haven’t appeared on Raw since April.

The other match taped for WWE Main Event was Lince Dorado vs. Tony Nese.
