– What happened to The Authors of Pain and SAnity?
The night after WrestleMania 34, The Authors of Pain, along with Paul Ellering, made their main roster debut as heels, defeating Heath Slater and Rhyno. After the match, Akam and Rezar ended their partnership with Ellering by refusing to allow him to walk with them to the backstage area. The following week, The Authors of Pain beat Slater and Rhyno in a rematch.
The Authors of Pain steamrolled a pair of local competitors on April 30, but have not appeared on Raw since then. Their most recent match is a WWE Main Event bout taped last week in London, England where they beat Apollo Crews and Titus O’Neil.
On the April 17 episode of SmackDown LIVE, this vignette on SAnitY aired announcing their arrival on Team Blue.
Although similar vignettes have continued to air on SmackDown LIVE, Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain have actually yet to physically appear.
On Wrestling Observer Live on Thursday, Dave Meltzer addressed the whereabouts of The Authors of Pain and SAnity. Basically, the creative team has no ideas for both groups at this time.
“They fell through the cracks,” Meltzer said when asked where The Authors of Pain are.
“It’s like them and SAnitY, they got brought up, and you know, like … remember the idea that, ‘We’re not going to bring anyone up unless we have ideas for them?’ Well, they brought them up and now they got no ideas for them.”
– WWE’s most polarizing figure celebrates his birthday on Friday as Roman Reigns turns 33 years old.
Vince McMahon rarely sends happy birthday messages to active WWE Superstars via Twitter but did so for “The Big Dog.”
