– We noted back on August 31st that 29 year old Armando Montalvo was shot outside of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando by an Orange County deputy that thought he had a knife when he tried to get into the building. Montalvo reportedly had an obsession with a female WWE talent and had been banned from the property by an injunction after several other incidents. His social media pages had several strange videos and comments about WWE, some posted from outside of WWE facilities.
WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando has released video of the shooting incident, seen below. That video will be used against Montalvo when his trial begins on February 15th. He’s facing charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and trespassing.
The video shows Montalvo, who has since recovered, banging on the front door of the Performance Center, yelling to be let inside. “I want you to train me to become your best, undisputed NXT wrestler of all (expletive) time,” he said.
At one point, Montalvo ripped off a vest he was wearing and ran toward deputies, ignoring their commands to stop. The deputy tried to run backward and avoid contact with Montalvo but he continued and the deputy fired a single shot.
