Updates on Mixed Event with Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio, Angle Announced for Indie Wrestling Show

– As noted, Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio has been announced for a March 20th “UR Fight” internet pay-per-view from the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. The event will also feature Ken Shamrock vs. Dan Severn in a MMA fight, Chael Sonnen vs. Michael Bisping in a grappling match and boxer Roy Jones Jr. vs. a fan with $100,000 up for grabs if the fans wins.

The promotion is promising a “blockbuster announcement” to come for the Angle vs. Mysterio match soon. They say venue tickets and live stream tickets will be put on sale soon also. It’s worth noting that as of this writing, the venue does not have the event listed on their official website. They are also doing a Mysterio mask design contest for fans. – Speaking of Angle, he’s apparently taking indie bookings now that he’s wrapped up with TNA. Angle will be appearing at the April 10th Destiny World Wrestling promotion in Canada. According to the flyer, it will be a TV taping.
