Update on WWE Dr. Chris Amann’s Lawsuit Against CM Punk and Colt Cabana

– Regarding WWE Dr. Chris Amann’s defamation lawsuit against CM Punk and Colt Cabana for their comments on Colt’s Art of War podcast last year, their lawyers recently filed a motion to have the case thrown out, claiming that Colt was acting as a member of the media doing an interview and that Punk never specifically stated who the doctor was that mistreated him.

There was actually two references to Amann in the interview but he was never specifically mentioned in connection with the staph infection that Punk talked about. Punk just referred to “Doc” that tended to him but did not mention a name.

Regarding the motion for dismissal, a judge ruled that the case will continue and ordered both sides to go into Discovery, which is a pre-trial mode to gather evidence.
