Update on The Rock – WWE SummerSlam Speculation, WWE Bringing Another Hall of Famer to NYC

– WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin is being brought to New York City for SummerSlam weekend by the company. Austin is not currently scheduled for the actual SummerSlam pay-per-view but he will likely be doing promotion for the WWE 2K16 video game and could be making other appearances.

On a related note, there’s now a lot of speculation about The Rock appearing at SummerSlam after Roman Reigns was asked by FOX Sports if The Great One will be there and he replied with the following:

“I wanna tell you, but I don’t want to give anything away.”

PWInsider notes that there’s no talk going around WWE about The Rock being at SummerSlam but it was noted by sources that if he was planning a return, not many people besides Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Vince McMahon and The Rock would know.
