Both Pro Wrestling Sheet and F4WOnline reported that Flair is dealing with the flu. While it’s not thought to be serious, he was advised against traveling and making it worse.
It was a tough decision for Flair to cancel his appearances since he never missed a day of work.
“Due to a sudden illness, I am sorry to say that I must cancel my appearances this weekend. I want to personally apologize to all the fans who were expecting to see me in NYC, Dallas, and Arkansas and the people who worked very hard to put these events on. As someone who has never missed a day of work in his entire career, it is with a heavy heart that I had to make this decision. Again, thank you to all my fans for your continued support and I will be stylin’ and profilin’ again in no time.”

– Over the weekend, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson responded to a video on Twitter of WWE Hall of Famer The Sheik throwing a fireball at the referee during a match against Jackie Fargo in the 1970s. Johnson noted how much energy and tension there was back then with a lot of fans believing that the business was real. He adds that the 1970s is his favorite era in pro wrestling.

You can actual FEEL the tension and energy in the arenas across the country in the 70’s during matches like this when a large majority of fans believed the business was real. Very special and unique time in the biz. My favorite era in pro wrestling – 1970’s
