As seen in the video below, Cathy Kelley and Triple H went live on Facebook after the WWE NXT “Takeover: Toronto” event.
Triple H commented on Tye Dillinger, saying he knew tonight was his breakout night but then it fell apart. Regarding Bobby Roode, Triple H says he had a chip on his shoulder coming into this with a 100-person choir but just imagine the chip he has now. Triple H believes Roode is going straight for the NXT Title. Triple H says Tye gets respect for the match but he leaves with his tail between his legs, looking at what’s next.
Cathy brings up the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and Triple H calls it an emotional night. The tournament is very personal to him. Regarding TM-61 and The Authors of Pain, Triple H isn’t sure if he’s seen a tag team as dominant as The Authors, perhaps since the last team Paul Ellering led to victory – The Road Warriors.
Triple H also praised former NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival, saying it would be hard to go through all three WWE rosters to find a better technically-sound or on-the-same-page team. He says they very well may live up to their claim of being the best tag team alive right now but if that’s the case, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are right there with him. He says DIY were the better team tonight and their title win is a longtime coming for them. He’s very happy for them and to beat The Revival is no small task. He imagines The Revival will be coming back and looking for their rematch. He mentions DIY came up with their own nickname because they have done their own careers how they wanted. At first he thought the DIY name was dumb but it does makes sense.
Regarding Mickie James vs. NXT Women’s Champion Asuka, Triple H says Asuka has been one of those dominant champions that has cleaned out her division. She knows she’s the champion and not a lot of people can put a dent on her. He believes Mickie earned Asuka’s respect tonight and proved to the world that she still has what it takes. He says it’s up to Mickie if we see her back in a WWE ring after tonight.
Cathy brings up the main event, which saw Samoa Joe become the first-ever two-time NXT Champion after defeating Shinsuke Nakamura. Triple H called it one of the most physical battles he has seen. Triple H says Nakamura kicks harder than anyone else he’s ever seen sometimes. He praises Joe as a big, dominant clubber. He says to see the physicality of those two going at it is impressive. He says people assumed this was Nakamura’s era and you could see the shock on their faces when Joe won. He says we haven’t seen the end of Nakamura and it will be interesting to see where this rivalry goes as he does not believe it’s over. He says Joe proved he’s as dominant as he’s ever been but he did not diminish Nakamura as a driving force. He says the rematch, if it happens, will be phenomenal.
Triple H also hyped tomorrow’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view after Cathy mentioned former NXT Superstars working the show. Triple H says it’s legit competition between RAW and SmackDown right now, no matter how you want to look at it. He says it’s going to be an interesting night. Regarding Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg, he’s interested to see what happens. He says we know that Brock Lesnar is still a destroyer but we only know what Goldberg was 12 years ago. Triple H says the jury is still out for him on if Goldberg is still the Goldberg we remember that can put Lesnar away. He mentions paramedics will be on stand-by because if it turns bad, it could really be bad
