– WWE officials really wanted top international wrestler Will Ospreay for the WWE Cruiserweight Classic that begins later this month but his two-year New Japan Pro Wrestling contract prevented that from happening. There was talk over the past few weeks that WWE was still trying to sign him, possibly trying to work through NJPW to make it happen.
– International wrestlers Big Damo and Noam Dar are expected to join Tommy End and Moose at the September WWE Performance Center tryouts, if they can pass their medicals. Dar is already confirmed for the WWE CWC this summer. WWE continues to get aggressive on talent acquisitions as several WWE NXT talents are expected to be called up for the Brand Extension and officials want experienced wrestlers who they can use on tour as opposed to the original idea of using the WWE Performance Center to take athletes and teach them to be pro wrestlers.
