If you’ve followed WWE news and rumors long enough, you’ve no doubt heard countless stories of Vince McMahon and the way he runs his business. Most of those stories are about how often he changes his mind.
While responding to fan questions on Wednesday on Facebook Live, Stephanie McMahon told an interesting story about her dad and how he handled things at the WWE Draft.
Oh, the draft was really fun. I just love working with Mick and of course Daniel Bryan and Shane, it was just so much fun. I do, I love what I do and I’m so lucky to be able to get out there and interact with our audience and all of our talent and just have fun. It’s just the greatest thing. I think the draft really has set up our brands and wait until you see what’s gonna happen on Raw. That’s all I’ll say. Of course I’m not really involved in that decision making process, just so you know. I’m just a character. But it’s fun. I can have my two sense but ultimately… I was told, actually, yesterday, I’ll tell you a story.
So, we were rehearsing the draft and I was up at the podium and I asked Vince a question, an idea, that I guess I’m confused by how this is working and I gave him an idea, and he was stressed because we were going live, and he said ‘you know, how about you just not give any new ideas at this point, even if they’re really great ones, okay? This is the way that we’re doing it, and no more.’ It was said maybe a little more stiffly than that but, again, all good. So I didn’t, that was it, he’s the boss and what he says goes. I just, I really am, I’m happy to be a part of it.
