Sin Cara underwent surgery on his right knee last night, according to WWE.com.
This past weekend, the masked luchador sensed something was wrong with his knee and had it evaluated by physicians. During the checkup, the medical personnel found scar tissue that hindered the performance of his joint and surgically removed it.
The infrequently seen SmackDown LIVE Superstar tweeted a photo, posing next to Dr. Jeffrey Dugas, after the procedure was performed at the Andrew Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

His tweet translates to “the body is wise and tells you when to stop. But he also has memory and knows when to return.”
There is no timetable for when Sin Cara will return to the ring, but he has already tweeted a photo of his first day of rehabilitation.

Sin Cara last wrestled on television during his feud with Andrade “Cien” Almas. Almas beat him on the July 10 episode of SmackDown and also won their rematch on July 15 at WWE Extreme Rules Kickoff. Sin Cara had been wrestling on house shows since their feud came to an end, with his last match taking place on August 5 in a win over Aiden English.
