Shelton Benjamin WWE Status Update, WWE Using Hulk Hogan In Ads, WWE NXT Takeover News

– We reported last month that Shelton Benjamin would be unable to make his WWE return on Smackdown due to necessary surgery. It should be noted, however, that Shelton is still expected to make his WWE return after rehabbing from surgery in about six months.

– Hulk Hogan was recently featured in a WWE Network advertisement. This is the first time WWE has used Hogan as a promotional tool since the two parties went their separate ways in the summer of 2015. Fans and industry insiders alike are speculating on whether this could be WWE “testing the waters” for a Hulk Hogan comeback.

– WWE NXT may be holding a Takeover show before the end of this year at The Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City, as well as a show in Boston. As noted, a Takeover show will be held in Toronto during Survivor Series weekend in November.
