Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe Busted Open at WWE NXT Takeover, Backstage Photo of Kota Ibushi

– Shinsuke Nakamura made his WWE NXT debut at “Takeover: Dallas” and defeated Sami Zayn on Friday night. Nakamura suffered a busted nose early on in the match and was bleeding.

– The real blood came during the main event with NXT Champion Finn Balor retaining over Samoa Joe. Joe was busted open early in the match and the blood started flowing. This played into the match as trainers kept trying to check on Joe but he brushed them off. The fans were very vocal about the match being interrupted several times with chants like “bullshit,” “fuck PG” and “let them fight,” among others.

– As noted, top Japanese star Kota Ibushi was shown at ringside with Funaki during Takeover in Dallas. He’s expected to come in and participate in the WWE Global Cruiserweight Series tournament this summer. Here he is backstage with Funaki and NXT General Manager William Regal:
