SAnitY Debuting Tonight On SmackDown Live, Why WWE Creative Held Off Their Television Debut

SAnitY

After joining SmackDown LIVE in April during the Superstar Shake-up, SAnitY will finally make their television debut for the blue brand on tonight’s show from the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.

WWE.com has announced that SAnitY will debut tonight against The Usos.

“For weeks, the impending arrival of SAnitY has been hanging over SmackDown LIVE. No one knew what the chaotic crew of Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe and the monstrous Killian Dain had in store for Team Blue after joining during the Superstar Shake-up, but the wait is over, as they will be making their debut tonight.

“SAnitY isn’t wasting any time, either, as they’ll be taking on The Usos in their first match on SmackDown LIVE. Will The Usos put the newcomers in their place, or will chaos reign in SAnitY’s arrival?”

On the April 17 episode of SmackDown LIVE, this vignette on SAnitY aired announcing their arrival on Team Blue.

Similar vignettes continued to air on SmackDown LIVE without Young, Wolfe, and Dain physically appearing on the show.

On Wrestling Observer Live on May 24, Dave Meltzer addressed the whereabouts of SAnity and another team missing from television, The Authors of Pain.

“They fell through the cracks,” Meltzer said when asked where The Authors of Pain are.

“It’s like them and SAnitY, they got brought up, and you know, like … remember the idea that, ‘We’re not going to bring anyone up unless we have ideas for them?’ Well, they brought them up and now they got no ideas for them.”

WrestlingNews.co reported earlier that SAnitY was expected to debut on SmackDown LIVE shortly after Money in the Bank. WWE creative didn’t want to debut them during the build to the WWE Network event, which delayed it even further.

SAnitY began working house shows on June 2 against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, with The Club beating Young and Wolfe via disqualification due to interference from Dain. This was the exact same result for their next three house show matches (June 3, 9 and 10). They then faced Rusev and Aiden English last Saturday, with Dain interfering leading to a DQ loss.
