The contract dispute between Ryback and WWE has taken a few interesting turns. Some issues have been brought up that many weren’t expecting such as Ryback advocating for equal pay for all performers in WWE.
It seems that the core issue that Ryback is having with the company during these contract negotiations is mainly about money, his star power, and value to the WWE product.
Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that the dispute that led to Ryback going home after a meeting with Vince McMahon last Monday was due to an issue with money.
It’s being said that there were some disputes made about some of the demands and perks that Ryback asked for in his new contract.
In the past, Ryback expressed the desire to get his own tour bus. That seems unlikely to many, but another issue was that “The Big Guy” had asked for WWE to pay for all of his hotels while on the road with the company, which Meltzer said is covered in “pretty much any other profession.”
