Ryback Injured, Unable To Defend Intercontinental Championship At WWE Battleground

WWE has announced that Ryback suffered an injury on Raw that will prevent him from defending the Intercontinental Championship this Sunday at Battleground. He was scheduled to defend the title in a Triple Threat Match against Big Show and The Miz.

“Earlier this week on Raw, Intercontinental Champion Ryback sustained an injury that will prevent him from competing and defending his title this weekend at WWE Battleground.

Shortly thereafter, Ryback revealed that suffered a severe staff infection in his right knee which will keep him hospitalized for the next few days. He will, however, make a full recovery and return shortly.
