Rusev Underwent Shoulder Surgery Last Week – What Will Happen To Lana?

Big Show broke the news, and then there was a bunch of chatter about it online, but WWE officials confirmed to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com that Rusev underwent surgery on his shoulder sometime last week.

There is no word on the extent of the damage, or if it was an existing condition, something which happened in training or a match, or a combination. Fans have pointed out Rusev’s shoulder has just looked strange for a while.

We’re also not clear as to how long he’ll be out, but obviously, WrestleMania 33 looks to be out of the question. Meltzer was only told he’d be out of action “for a while.”

Rusev joked about undergoing surgery after Big Show destroyed Titus O’Neil on Raw last night.

Maybe @TitusONeilWWE needs surgery as well!

With Rusev out of action, Lana will likely be off television until he returns. However, this should give her more time to wrestle at NXT live events in Florida.

With Rusev off the road, she wrestled Aliyah last Friday at an NXT live event in Largo, Florida.
