As noted, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that former World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg is in serious talks with WWE for a return, and that a deal may have already been agreed on. Goldberg will be on ESPN’s SportsCenter this Wednesday night for the weekly “Off The Top Rope” segment to discuss WWE 2K17 and his WWE relationship with Jonathan Coachman.
During his latest “Ross Report” podcast with WWE Hall of Famer Road Warrior Animal, Jim Ross said Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar is seriously being discussed. Ross speculated on a possible match at Survivor Series or WrestleMania 33. Ross added that some are speculating that the match could happen before WrestleMania but he did reiterate that this is just a rumor from his sources that are usually reliable.
Goldberg apparently responded to the reports with this tweet tonight:
Reading the Internet…. you never know who to believe do you? #WhosNext

Ross also tweeted on the match:
Another source says that @Goldberg vs @BrockLesnar is a done deal and that it will likely go down at #SurvivorSeries. If true, bravo @wwe
