Rockstar Spud is no longer with Impact Wrestling.
PWInsider first reported on his exit from the company on Tuesday and Pro Wrestling Sheet was told that Spud requested to be released from his contract. According to PWInsider, he got released two or three weeks ago.
Spud started with Impact in 2013 after winning the first season of their British Boot Camp series and became Dixie Carter‘s “chief of staff.” Over the course of his run, he won the X Division Championship on two occasions.
Spud had not been used in a while. He lasted wrestled for the company on May 31, 2017, at an Impact Wrestling taping in India, where he lost to Swoggle in a Mumbai Street Fight.
Spud is now accepting independent bookings.

Spud’s exit from Impact Wrestling follows the recent departures of Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend), Taryn Terrell, Robbie E, Low Ki, Kingston and Davey Richards.
