– According to a report from PWInsider.com, Ric Flair is now set to appear on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
It’s not clear exactly what he’ll be there for.
The obvious explanation is WWE will use him to advance the ongoing issue between his daughter, Divas Champion Charlotte, and Paige. The timing is interesting given the fact that it was just two weeks ago that the promotion used Flair’s son, Reid, who died of a drug overdose in 2013, in an angle to build to a title match at Survivor Series. It caused a great deal of controversy, including Ric himself commenting on the matter on his podcast and admitting he cried while watching and wasn’t consulted beforehand.
– King Barrett drew some international media for a tweet he sent to Irish football manager Roy Keane. Keane was critical of Wayne Rooney for the angle he did with Barrett on Raw recently in an interview with The Mirror.
“I always question certain players what are they doing off the field? I saw Wayne last week slapping a wrestler and I’m thinking ‘why is he getting involved in all that nonsense?'” Keane said. “There’s no benefit to him so I think I would look at that side to it.”
Barrett responded to Keane’s criticism, tweeting, “If Roy Keane’s looking for a piece, I’ll batter him too.”
