With AJ Lee’s future in WWE in question, Vince McMahon wants a new top babyface Diva. The question is, who may that
be? One Diva it probably won't be is Natalya.
Behind-the-scenes, the third-generation wrestler is well-regarded for her role in assisting the developmental of the
organization's up and coming female talent. McMahon, however, doesn’t feel she's marketable enough to be presented as the face of the Divas division.
As far as Lee is concerned, CM Punk was asked about the subject during an interview with Michael Landsberg on TSN. In broaching the subject of her relationship with WWE, Landsberg said that Punk "called out the medical care that they [WWE] offer their people" on Colt Cabana's podcast. This definitely was not the best way to get Punk to really answer the question.
"This is taken out of context. I didn't mean to call anybody out, I simply told my story. I told the truth, and I told people what happened to me. It wasn't to call anybody out. I'm a passionate guy who lost the passion to do his job. My intent wasn't to call anybody out," Punk said. "I've had plenty of conversations with my wife about her working there. If she wants to work there, more power to her. We have separate careers and will continue to have separate careers, and we're stronger for that for having understanding and supporting each other."
