According to PWInsider.com, William Regal is expected to be officially announced for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017 sometime this week.
Having started his career in 1983 on a rare surviving carnival booth in Britain, Regal soon moved on to wrestle for national-level promotions on the British wrestling circuit and on British television. He then progressed to touring around the world, in countries such as Germany and South Africa, before being joining WCW in 1993 and eventually WWE during the Attitude Era.
Regal is highly respected amongst his peers and has achieved considerable championship success in professional wrestling, although he has never been a world champion. Throughout his career, he has won several titles, including four in WCW and 15 in WWE.
Regal will join Kurt Angle, “Ravishing” Rick Rude, Beth Phoenix, The Rock ’n’ Roll Express, Teddy Long and Diamond Dallas Page in the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2017.
