Paige Successfully Undergoes Surgery

With boyfriend Alberto Del Rio by her side, Paige successfully underwent surgery today to fix nerve damage in her neck and shoulder.

She tweeted the following this afternoon after undergoing the procedure.

This procedure is the course of action she chose to deal with the issues Del Rio tweeted about over the weekend.

News broke last week that Paige was suspended for 60 days by WWE for her second violation of the company’s talent wellness policy. She quickly took to social media to speak out against her treatment, and it wasn’t long after that both of her parents followed suit. In particular, her father and brothers claimed she was taking painkillers for a neck injury and implied that may have been what caused her violation.

WWE later issued a statement strongly disputing the story.

“Saraya-Jade Bevis tested positive for an illegal substance, not a prescription drug,” the statement read. “In addition, WWE is providing world-class medical care for her in-ring injury.”
