Why The Miz Dropped The Intercontinental Title To Roman Reigns On Raw

Last night on Raw, Roman Reigns defeated The Miz to capture the Intercontinental Title for the first time, joining the ranks of Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan and even The Miz as a Grand Slam Champion.

Last night’s title change was done due to The Miz taking time off to film a movie, PWInsider.com reports.

One source believes The Miz is going to film the latest installment of WWE Studios’ The Marine movie franchise. There have been five films thus far in The Marine franchise, with The Miz starring in the last three. There is no timetable for his return and last night was his final appearance until filming is completed.

After Raw went off the air, The Shield drove Miz through the announce table to write his character off.
