Mick Foley on Finn Balor Relinquishing the WWE Universal Title

It appears that newly crowned Universal Champion Finn Balor could be relinquishing his title as early as this evening’s WWE RAW.

As previously reported, Balor suffered a shoulder injury after taking a powerbomb into the barrier from Seth Rollins at SummerSlam on Sunday night. WWE officials are still waiting to see if Balor needs surgery or not.

RAW General Manager Mick Foley tweeted the following on Balor, the title and tonight’s show:

Due to his injury, @StephMcMahon and I jointly accept @FinnBalor relinquishing of the @WWE Universal Championship. #Raw
