Maria Kanellis is an American professional wrestler, professional wrestling manager, artist, model and mother. She is best known for her tenures in WWE, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Ring of Honor (ROH).

She was born Mary Louis Kanellis on February 25, 1982 (age 42) in Ottawa, Illinois, United States. After marrying fellow wrestler Michael Bennett (aka Mike Bennett) in 2014, she became known as Mary Louis Kanellis-Bennett. However, she is professionally known as Maria Kanellis-Bennett. Her wrestling career began in 2004 with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where she was simply known as Maria.

On October 2, 2023, Maria Kanellis posted this photo on Instagram and quoted American fantasy author Sarah J. Maas with the following: “He saw her face each time he closed his eyes. Following her departure from WWE in 2010, Kanellis worked for Ring of Honor (ROH) and Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling, often appearing alongside her husband. In 2016, she captured the TNA Women’s Knockout Championship.

On September 29, 2023, Maria Kanellis posted this photo on Instagram and quoted French fashion designer Coco Chanel with the following: “A girl should be two things: who and what she wants.”

Along with Bennett, she returned to WWE in 2017. While pregnant, she held the WWE 24/7 Championship, making her the first ever pregnant champion in WWE history.

Kanellis parted ways with WWE again in 2020 and would return to both ROH and IMPACT Wrestling (aka TNA). In October 2022, she debuted for AEW alongside her husband and Matt Taven. The trio reemerged in ROH in December 2022.
