WWE has released Tough Enough winner Josh Bredl.
According to PWInsider.com, he was released by WWE at the end of last week (along with NXT wrestler Sawyer Fulton and Performance Center trainee Leo Gao).
In 2015, Bredl was the male winner of the sixth season of Tough Enough to earn a $250,000 one-year contract with WWE. The female winner was Sara Lee, who was released in September 2016.
Bredl began training at the WWE Performance Center in September 2015. He made his first appearance for NXT in December 2015 and was rechristened as Bronson Mathews. He wrestled five matches for NXT until July 2016, at which point he got sidelined with concussion-related issues.
His release had been expected as he moved back to Colorado a while ago.
