John Cena is working a lighter schedule for WWE since he isn’t scheduled to be a fixture at house shows in the coming months. On Saturday, he took to Twitter to address reports going around about that.
“I have not “earned” a slower schedule, I have “earned” an opportunity to challenge the limits of work capacity. #NeverGiveUp #HUSTLE,” Cena wrote.
“My heart, life’s work, and being has been, is, and will ALWAYS be @WWE @WWEUniverse #HLR #NeverGiveUp #DownSinceDayOne.”

At 39-years-old, Cena is getting closer and closer to the day he’ll have to stop taking so many bumps and start focusing on what he wants to do after his in-ring career is over, even if that includes working with WWE in some other capacity. His upcoming gig as ESPY Awards host could be a preview of that.
