– Larry King’s ORA.TV sent the following to us:
John Cena Wants to Fight Steve Austin, Overtaking Ric Flair + What He Thinks About UFC Fighting
WWE icon John Cena joins Larry on the Emmy-nominated series “Larry King Now” for a wide-ranging chat about the future of his WWE career, the rise of female wrestlers and the possibility of marrying his girlfriend, WWE Diva Nikki Bella. John also gives his uncensored thoughts on the growing popularity of UFC fighting and dishes on his wild “Trainwreck” sex scene.
The WWE superstar tells Larry that the wrestler from yesteryear he’d most like to fight is Stone Cold Steve Austin, and says if the opportunity were to present itself, he’d hop in the ring with Austin.
WWE legend John Cena opens up to Larry King about the rise of the UFC organization, saying that although he doesn’t want to take anything away from the athletes fighting in ‘The Octagon’, the sport “doesn’t resonate” with him. He explains, “It doesn’t resonate with me because I’m a storyteller. I enjoy the story we can tell in the ring. I think we do it better than anyone.”
John Cena needs one more WWE World Championship to tie former fighter Ric Flair’s record of 16 titles. He tells Larry that overtaking Flair’s belt count is not his main priority, saying that “I have so many more things I would like to accomplish, and that’s on a very side list, I’d say.”
After making a surprise appearance at Wrestlemania 32, where he didn’t fight, John Cena tells Larry King that he hopes to partake in an actual WWE match within a month. Cena was sidelined in January with a shoulder injury. The 39-year-old reveals, “I’m pushing to try and get back within the month, if I can.” When asked what keeps him motivated, he credits “the feel of satisfaction you get from live performance.”
WWE icon John Cena reveals to Larry how he kept his recent Wrestlemania 32 appearance a surprise, saying “I wasn’t supposed to be there…so I dressed in a side office that’s a broom closet.”
Plus, John Cena discusses his relationship with WWE Diva Nikki Bella and reveals whether or not marriage is in the couple’s future. The WWE star turned actor also gets candid about what it was like to shoot his hilarious sex scene with Amy Schumer in last summer’s smash hit “Trainwreck.”
