– As noted, there have been unsubstantiated rumors of WWE trying to get Shawn Michaels to come out of retirement for a match against WWE World Champion AJ Styles at the 2017 Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Styles fueled the rumors by posting a fan-created graphic of he and Michaels yesterday. In regards to the rumors, F4Wonline.com reports that Michaels was firm that he would not come out of retirement the last time WWE asked him about doing a match. That was not too long ago but as we’ve seen, anything is possible in the world of pro wrestling.

– WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler was in attendance for last night’s Bellator MMA event in Memphis as TNA star Bobby Lashley picked up an easy win over Josh Appelt in the co-main event. Lashley and other Bellator MMA stars held an event at Lawler’s restaurant on Beale Street this week as well. Lawler tweeted the following on Lashley:
