It was reported on Saturday by Pro Wrestling Sheet that Jeff Hardy is dealing with a “significant shoulder injury” that could require surgery.
At Friday’s WWE live event in Sacramento, California, Jeff and Matt were slated to take on Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. Instead, Matt wrestled Anderson in singles action, with Jeff and Gallows in their respective partners’ corners — Matt won the match.
This past Monday on Raw, Jeff was favoring his shoulder during the Six-Pack Challenge for the right to challenge The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship at No Mercy. Corey Graves made mention of it on commentary, which you can hear below at the 0:55 mark.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio on Saturday night, Jeff got injured in July at the WWE Great Balls of Fire during The Hardy Boyz vs. Cesaro and Sheamus 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match.
Sources say it’s unclear if Hardy will need surgery at this point. However, if he does, he will be out of action for several months.
Jeff’s wife Beth confirmed that he is injured in a tweet last Wednesday.
