James Ellsworth vs. Asuka Set For SmackDown Next Week

James Ellsworth calls out Asuka, but he may want to change his tune after SmackDown LIVE General Manager Paige arrives.

Still incensed after feeling disrespected by Asuka last week, James Ellsworth arrived on SmackDown LIVE this week with one intention: To call out Asuka.

This led to the arrival of SmackDown LIVE General Manager Paige, who told fans that he was only acting confident because Asuka was not there since she was with her family in Japan.

Paige also addressed Ellsworth’s surprise return at WWE Money in the Bank that arguably swayed the result of the SmackDown Women’s Championship Match. Paige announced that Carmella will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Asuka again at WWE Extreme Rules.

Ellsworth then asked Paige if that was all or if she was here to ask him out on a date. Paige responded by saying Ellsworth actually would have a date next Tuesday … in a one-on-one match against Asuka.

Carmella didn’t appear on SmackDown LIVE this week since she’s been in Australia doing media interviews to promote WWE Super Show-Down, a historic event taking place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
