The procedure was performed by Jeffrey R. Dugas, M.D. at Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center at St. Vincent’s Hospital, who works closely with WWE. Dugas has performed surgery on many WWE Superstars including Kofi Kingston, Edge and Batista.
Knox, whose real name is Stuart Tomlinson, has been training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida since December of 2013. He made his wrestling debut for the developmental branch at a live event in November 2014 and has continued to sporadically wrestle at shows which aren’t televised.
