“Sometimes it’s harder to love it, and sometimes it’s easy to love it. It’s easy to love it again for her. She’s enjoying watching it. She’s enjoying coming to the shows. She’s enjoying seeing everybody in the back. She loves it. So, if I’m the little kid booking or writing or however you want to say it, sitting on his couch, she’s sitting there right next to me [like] a little kid enjoying it and loving it. It’s been her whole life since she was little.
“No official role right now. Right now, her official role is she’s enjoying our kids getting too old too fast, but we’ll see. We’ll see what the future holds. I would expect to see her around because, I think, she just loves it and she’s enjoying being around it again.”
On January 30, 2025, Stephanie McMahon joined The Pat McAfee Show for her first interview since leaving her executive position with WWE. McMahon revealed that she is hosting a travel show called Stephanie’s Places where she travels around the United States interviewing various WWE Superstars and legends.
“In partnership with Omaha Productions, ESPN, and WWE, it is called Stephanie’s Places. I’m going all over the country and hopefully the world to really find out the stories behind the biggest stars in WWE,” McMahon told Pat McAfee.
When asked what the goal of Stephanie’s Places is, McMahon replied, “It’s really to tell the stories that haven’t been told. To find out more about the people behind the characters. What I want to do is bring some type of advice to the audience. These people are all hugely successful, but like most people, they’ve been knocked around a lot. How did they overcome the challenges that were put in front of them? How did they get over certain things to become who they are today? It’s really their journey. That’s what I’m trying to tell, their story, their journey of how they’ve gotten to where they are.”
When asked if she enjoys hosting Stephanie’s Places, McMahon replied, “I’ve loved it. I was really nervous to do it. It was my first step back into the business and I was really worried about it. Ultimately, it’s been so rewarding. To get to hang out with our talent, that I know so well on a certain level, but to get to know them so much better and differently and to bring their stories out. With each person it’s different. In some cases, I’m the younger person who remembers them as a big star and in other cases I’m the older person and I’m trying to pull things out of a younger superstar. No one show is the same. It’s a lot of fun.”
Stephanie’s Places premiered on ESPN+ in March 2025. Among those McMahon interviewed includes “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Charlotte Flair and Roman Reigns. Click here to see a preview.
