Early in NXT’s Friday night set of tapings, one match went awry.
Hideo Itami and Oney Lorcan faced off, but the match was quickly stopped. Shortly after the bell, Itami was busted open after the two exchanged stiff strikes. Referees and doctors checked on Itami and ruled the match had to be stopped.

Later, the two would re-emerge and have another go at it, as the match had to be re-taped. Itami has had an injury riddled career thus far with WWE, but last night’s accident doesn’t seem to be much of an issue.
The mats would be changed on the ring to cover up the blood Itami lost.
The blood must have been real. They immediately went to change the mat. #NXTFSLive pic.twitter.com/fYTShhit1Z
