This week’s WWE.com sit-down interview with Michael Cole features WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno. You can see the full clip above, and below are some highlights:
* Slater says he did think he would become SmackDown Tag Team Champion if given the opportunity. Slater says failure was not an option. Rhyno says he saw Slater’s character and thought it would be a long-shot at first, but they did it. He points to their defense at No Mercy and says that just doesn’t happen
* Slater says The Usos are tough and with their new attitude, the odds were against the champions but they went out and proved that they can get the job done when needed
* Cole brings up how Slater and Rhyno saved WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler from The Miz and The Spirit Squad on last night’s SmackDown, and their post-show interview where Slater referred to themselves as superheroes just making a save. Slater rambles about superheroes and Rhyno gives props to Slater for stepping up, calling him a superhero
* Cole asks what’s next for the team. Slater says they’re going down in history, they will be better than Demolition, The Rock & Roll Express, The Brainbusters, The Rockers, The Conquistadors, Edge and Christian. Slater says they’re going to be champions forever with the WWE Universe behind them. Slater goes on about having a good time with Rhyno, who points out that he doesn’t drink. The interview ends with Rhyno asking Cole if he has any cheese and crackers
