– Inside Edition posted an article and video on how Donald Trump’s past with WWE will likely be mentioned a lot more as the 2016 Presidential race continues. They spoke to Bobby Lashley, who had Trump in his corner for the “Battle of the Billionaires” with Vince McMahon and Umaga at WrestleMania 23 in 2007. Lashley told Inside Edition that Trump was “cool” throughout the whole process and “wanted to be a part of it.” Lashley said, “He wanted to play a more active role, him taking down Vince, that was him having fun.”
– Proud WWE Performance Center Head Coach Matt Bloom noted on Twitter that Friday’s WWE NXT live event in Nashville was one of the best shows he’s seen in a while.
– On a related note, word is that WWE NXT Champion Finn Balor suffered a slightly sprained ankle at the live event in Nashville, according to PWInsider. As mentioned earlier, Balor will be reevaluated at the WWE Performance Center on Monday so they can get a better idea of the injury. Balor was still on crutches this afternoon and was kept off tonight’s NXT live event in Indianapolis to prevent any further damage.
