Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley returned to WWE last summer, and immediately entered into a tag title feud with The New Day which ended up resulting in a double turn for both teams.
Since, then the legendary duo have struggled to get television time as their role has transitioned into putting over younger talent – as they did last night on the SummerSlam pre-show where they lost to the makeshift team of Sami Zayn and Neville.
This afternoon on Twitter, both men began teasing an end to their WWE run.
One year ago we came back to the @WWE and to the @WWEUniverse . now it's time to say goodbye tonight on raw …

This is likely part of a storyline. They seem to be in the midst of a break-up angle, and around the time of the brand split draft which sent Bubba and D-Von to Raw, PWInsider.com reported they’d signed contract extensions.
Here is what was reported on July 26:
We are hearing from multiple WWE sources that the company has come to terms with Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley on a new deal.
The former ECW, WCW, WWF and IWGP Tag Team champions returned to WWE last August after Summerslam under a one year deal. We are hearing all sides agreed on a new deal they are happy with that will keep the team (who were drafted to Raw last week) with the company.
