WWE is debuting a new pay-per-view event and Brock Lesnar is set to defend the Universal Championship on the show.
A video released by the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on Twitter and Facebook on Friday brought the announcement that the building will be hosting a Raw-exclusive pay-per-view event called WWE Great Balls of Fire on July 9. It was previously rumored that the show would be called Bad Blood.
It was also announced that Lesnar will defend the Universal Championship at the event. Lesnar has yet to defend the title since winning it from Goldberg at WrestleMania 33, though a program with Braun Strowman was established the following night on Raw.
Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public on May 5th at 10 a.m. local time. There will be a pre-sale the day before that, with tickets also going on sale at 10 a.m.
Video of the announcement is available to watch below.
