– Brie Bella recently spoke with MLive.com to promote the upcoming WWE live event in Detroit. The full interview is at this link. Below are highlights:
How Total Divas is helping all female wrestlers:
“I think the success of “Total Divas” has opened people’s eyes to women in wrestling and to WWE divas. People come up to us at live events or at signings and thank us, saying my wife or girlfriend watches wrestling now, or that they weren’t into wrestling, but because of “Total Divas,” they are now.”
How the Divas Revolution is changing women in WWE:
“The girls are working so hard to put female wrestling on the map and to make it as big as the men. To see it actually happening… I’m go grateful. Nikki and I couldn’t be any luckier to be in the women’s division right now. We have some amazing women wrestlers, and to have these aggressive,
Her favorites past and present:
“For past superstars, for a woman, I’d have to say Melina. She had the sex appeal and I loved the way she stood out in the ring. As far as past men go, I loved Jeff Hardy. He reminds me of my husband in a way. He’s quieter, but has a presence in the ring that’s like, wow. For present superstars, Paige has been really amazing in our division. I love her aggression. She just has it. For men, besides my husband, who’s injured right now, I would say Dean Ambrose. He’s a maniac. Everything about him is great. He’s fun to watch. When his matches are over, I always wish there was a little more to watch.”
Sara Lee’s chances of winning WWE Tough Enough:
“Sara and Amanda couldn’t be more different. Both of them would bring something different as a WWE Diva. I look at Sara, and from the beginning, she was put down and has stayed in there. I think she’s had a harder time. She’s been through more in a short time on “Tough Enough” and has stuck through it. That’s what it takes to be a WWE diva. I’m very excited to see which one will win.”
