Braun Strowman wants a big match at WrestleMania 34.
“The Monster Among Men” recently spoke to Hollywood Life about how things are going for him in WWE. His stock has rose sharply in the last year, gaining dominant wins over big opponents. The next step for him is to have a big match at WrestleMania 34.
“I am so hungry,” Strowman said. “I want a big match at WrestleMania. I want to continue to do what I started in 2017 and that is to decimate whomever steps in the ring with me and continue to shock and awe fans by doing things that they have never seen before and stuff that big guys shouldn’t be able to do. 2017 was the start of my career as a singles competitor and when it is all said and done, I will be in the WWE Hall of Fame and I am going to work my ass off night in and night out, week in and week out, year in and year out till I am!”
When asked how he became such a big deal in two years, he gave a simple response: hard work and determination led him to where he is today on WWE’s roster.
“That is how I go out thinking every time I do this,” Braun says, “because who enters a contest to finish in second place? Like, I am going to win. I think it attests to where I am in my career now because I want to be the best and I am going to be the best.”
Behind-the-scenes, Vince McMahon is very focused on finding the right opponent for Strowman at WrestleMania 34. While it’s unlikely that “The Monster Among Men” will compete in a World Championship Match, McMahon still wants him to have a featured match on the show.
John Cena’s name has come up as Strowman’s opponent but Cena is also one of a few names being discussed to potentially win the Royal Rumble Match on Sunday, January 28, 2018, as McMahon is deciding between him and a few others.
WrestleMania 34 takes place on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans and will be streamed live around the world on the WWE Network.
