The war of words between CM Punk and Hulk Hogan continues. As previously noted, CM Punk and Hogan have been having a back and forth while the Chicago Blackhawks were taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning for the Stanley Cup. Punk once again went out Hogan verbally yesterday as a member of the CSN Chicago panel for the Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup parade. Punk’s feud with Hogan was brought up, and it was noted by Pat Boyle on the panel that Hogan was a “Tampa Bay Lightning fan.”
Punk disagreed saying, “No he’s not. That’s the problem I have with that. If I’m a Lightning fan, I’m embarrassed they hitched their wagon to a guy like that. Doesn’t know Stamkos’s name, the captain’s name. Icing to him is something he eats three times a day.”
“My love for hockey supersedes anything else and I would just like to see people tune in and understand the game and appreciate the game for what it is. You put something on there like that, it kind of lowers it a little… If I’m a Lightning fan, I want someone to better represent my team. They’re a hell of an organization. That paints them in the wrong light.”
July 24, 2015 – Booker T, who infamously said that N-word during a live WCW pay-per-view event in 1997, weighed in on Hulk Hogan’s racist rant via Twitter.
“20 years ago I made a huge mistake by saying something I shouldn’t have on National TV.
It’s 2015 and the n-word should be eradicated from the English language in my opinion.
I am shocked by the statements made by Hulk Hogan. It’s unfortunate, but that’s something that he’s going to have to deal with.”
