– WWE will tape SmackDown and this year’s Tribute to The Troops event on Tuesday night in Jacksonville, Florida. Jacksonville.com has an article on the event at this link. Mark Henry flew into town early for the event and commented:
“I’ve been blessed to represent my country in two Olympic games for sport. But it’s not the same as representing your country on a field of battle. Dealing with our military makes me feeling like I’m contributing at a different level and it warms my heart as an American. I get to shake the hands of the men and women that defend our freedom. There’s no amount of money of exposure that supersedes that feeling.”
– This weekend saw Big Show work his first WWE events since the European tour in early November. He defeated The Ascension in handicap matches.
I had heard talk of Show returning to WWE TV soon and PWInsider noted that he was working out at the WWE Performance Center last week. Show worked the November 9th RAW in the UK, losing a WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament match to Roman Reigns, but it looks like his last WWE TV appearance before that was the loss to Brock Lesnar on on the October 3rd live WWE Network special.
– Below is a clip from next week’s post-TLC Steve Austin WWE Network podcast with Shawn Michaels talking about what he said to Ric Flair after pinning him at WrestleMania 24:
