Coming out of WWE Super Show-Down, a SmackDown Women’s Championship Match is set for Tuesday.
Becky Lynch will again defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair this Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE. This match was set up by the finish of their match at WWE Super Show-Down.
Charlotte Flair endures a steady onslaught from SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch during their WWE Super Show-Down battle in Melbourne, Australia.
Hitting another Spear and locking Becky in the Figure-Eight Leg Lock, it appeared as if Flair was mere seconds away from becoming the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. However, the ever-resourceful Lynch was able to grab the title while locked in the submission hold and began pelting Flair with it, prompting the official to call for a disqualification.
Due to the disqualification, Charlotte had won the match, but not the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Furious, she rushed up the ramp to attack “The Irish Lass Kicker” and started whaling on her. But Lynch was able to take advantage of Charlotte’s rage and frustration, soon getting the upper hand on the outside and ultimately delivering a Bexploder to her former best friend.
In this post-match interview, Lynch says she has no issues with how she retained the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE Super Show-Down and believes the daughter of “The Dirtiest Player in the Game” shouldn’t mind, either.
