Backstage Update on the Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton SummerSlam Finish, Praise for Big Cass

– This may come as no surprise but there continues to be big backstage praise on Big Cass. Many within WWE remain very high on Cass and see money when they look at him.

– We noted before that the finish to Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton at WWE SummerSlam went down pretty much as planned. PWInsider reports that about an hour or two before they went to the ring, there was a backstage meeting on the finish with Triple H, Mark Carrano, Lesnar and possibly Paul Heyman.

For what it’s worth, the finish had been greatly debated, discussed and “negotiated” backstage before the match. No word yet on if Orton was at the meeting but it seems like he would have been.
