Tonight’s episode of Raw takes place in Knoxville, Tennessee at the Thompson–Boling Arena. Here are some notes from backstage.
After winning the Intercontinental Championship from The Miz last week on Raw, Roman Reigns hinted that an open challenge could be in the cards.
“Anybody can get it,” Reigns told Mike Rome. He later tweeted, “Wherever I am, consider it my yard. So, if you want my title, all you have to do is step up.”

Yesterday, Jason Jordan tweeted this video accepting his challenge.

Despite Jordan’s challenge, the word backstage, according to PWInsider.com, is that it’s not the direction for tonight.
As of this afternoon, Reigns was slated to face Elias while Jordan was scheduled to wrestle Kane.
There was talk of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs. Cesaro and Sheamus for the Raw Tag Team Championship for tonight’s show, but that will apparently take place next week. WWE has announced that Rollins will face Cesaro in a singles match.
Also announced for tonight’s show is Paige competing in her first match in over a year as she partners with newcomers Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville against Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Mickie James in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match.
