Backstage News on Possible Plans for the WWE No Mercy Pay-Per-View

As noted, the next SmackDown pay-per-view will take place on October 9th from Sacramento – No Mercy. Matches confirmed as of this writing are John Cena vs. Dean Ambrose vs. WWE World Champion AJ Styles and Alexa Bliss vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.

WWE Smackdown will present No Mercy on October 9th LIVE from Sacramento California. As previously noted, the card already consists of a triple threat with WWE World Champion AJ Styles defending against Dean Ambrose and John Cena, as well as a WWE Smackdown Women’s Contest between champion Becky Lynch and challenger Alexa Bliss.

It also appears as though The Usos will challenge the SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno. Backstage rumors have been circulating and it sounds as though the Usos will eventually defeat Slater and Rhyno, and go on to feud with American Alpha.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter also reports that original plans for Dolph Ziggler and WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz have them wrestling inside a steel cage, but that could change before October 9th.
