Backstage News on This Week’s WWE NXT Releases

– As noted on Friday, backstage interviewer Devin Taylor and wrestler Cal Bishop were released from their WWE NXT deals. Both were signed back in 2013.

The feeling within NXT is that both were released because they had been in developmental for too long without making any real progress in the ring, according to PWInsider. It was expected that there would be NXT releases as new talents are being signed and these two cuts go along with that.

Bishop apparently confirmed the release with this tweet on Friday:
